STORRS, Conn. (AP) — Geno Auriemma is thrilled to be headed to Rio.

After months of denying his interest in coaching the U.S. national team, Auriemma will return for an unprecedented second term as the women’s basketball Olympic team head coach. He was introduced at a news conference in Connecticut on Friday and will guide the Americans towards the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

“It’s hard to put into words what it all means and how you feel at the end, but it’s another journey,” Auriemma said. “It’s another beginning. I’m incredibly honored to be asked to do this again. Now it’s my job to go around and ask all those players that won the gold medal in London if they’ll come along on this ride and help me look good again.”
