COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — Randy Johnson is being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame today because of his talents for throwing a ball, not swinging at one.
Yet on the day before he’ll take the stage to give his acceptance speech in front of thousands of fans and media, Johnson was swinging away. Not at baseballs but at golf balls, as he hit the links with several of his fellow Hall of Famers in a tournament. This started a busy weekend, culminating with today’s 10:30 a.m. induction ceremony.
